Dr. Berry's Story
Dr Ashley BerryMBBS (UNSW), Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Medicine (UNE)General Practitioner | Integrative and Nutritional Medicine Dr Ashley Berry is a general practitioner with more than four decades of experience caring for patients in Sydney’s St George community. His work combines a broad background in general practice with a longstanding interest in nutritional and integrative medicine. Dr Berry graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1979. He worked at Prince of Wales and Lidcombe hospitals before gaining further clinical experience in the United Kingdom. In 1986, he established his practice in Lugarno, later moving to Oatley, where he continued to care for individuals and families over many years.
His clinical interests include digestive health, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, degenerative neurological conditions, and nutritional support for people living with cancer. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Medicine from the University of New England. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Berry has contributed to medical education through tutoring medical students at St George Hospital and teaching nutritional medicine through the Australasian College of Medical Nutrition. He has also served as chairperson of the Australian Chronic Infectious and Inflammatory Disease Society (ACIIDS).
Following his retirement from his St George practice, Dr Berry moved to Wollongong, where he is listed as an integrative GP at Young Street Medical. He remains committed to sharing the clinical knowledge gained throughout his career with patients, colleagues and the next generation of doctors.
